Some items from the 2010 external maintenance "review / audit" (by external volunteers working for free) corrected

Here are some of the completed projects / highlights:

1) School signs standardized / replaced and incorrect spelling of "Buses" removed (Liberty)

2) Walk / bike to school project receives grant to improve access paths under busy Rt.29 (Mary Walter)

3) Crossing signs improved with flashing 25mph lights

4) Pilot project to retrofit efficient lighting systems completed summer of 2011 (P B Smith)

5) Energy costs / per unit usage remain relatively constant for FY10 - FY12 (FCPS) saving $500K per year since FY09

6) FHS renovation / new building in progress with geothermal. passive solar and efficient lighting systems under construction (LEED certified)

7) Local businesses support nature walk at Greenville elementary

8) Student maintained gardens flourish at some schools (update list please for 2017? send details to community@er-li.com )

9) Energy workshops completed (FCPS Human Resources for shared services, Town of Warrenton Library, Executive team, etc.)
